Classic Rizer MTB Handlebar
Color: Silver
Size: 800mm-31.8
Description
Double-butted 6061 aluminum bars have a way of aging well on a classic build, and the Ritchey Classic Rizer MTB Handlebar leans into that heritage with a high-polish silver finish and a shape drawn from decades of Northern California trail riding. It's a modern-width riser bar with old-school sensibilities, built for riders assembling a hardtail that deserves something more considered than a blacked-out cockpit. The polished aluminum pairs naturally with silver stems, silver seatposts, and the kind of frame that wasn't designed to look like every other bike on the trailhead.
The bar is formed from double-butted 6061 aluminum, with extra material placed at the clamp area and reduced material through the ends where the load path allows. That construction approach keeps weight reasonable at 395 grams while maintaining the strength you want from an aluminum trail bar. It's not a weight-weenie carbon bar, and it's not trying to be — it's an aluminum riser that prioritizes durability and finish quality over shaving a few grams.
The geometry runs a 20mm rise with 9 degrees of backsweep and 2 degrees of upsweep. That's a fairly neutral riser shape — the modest sweep keeps your wrists in a natural position without pulling your grip too far back, and the 20mm rise brings the grips up enough to open your chest on climbs without over-rotating your position on descents. The 800mm width gives you room to trim to preference; most trail riders end up somewhere between 740mm and 780mm depending on shoulder width and trail tightness.... Read More
