Comp 2-Bolt Alloy Seatpost
Description
Two-bolt seatpost heads solve the fundamental problem with single-bolt designs: you can dial in saddle angle without wrestling against fore-aft position at the same time. The Ritchey Comp 2-Bolt Alloy Seatpost uses that layout with a low-profile clamp that sits close to the rails, giving you clean access to both bolts and enough clamping surface to hold position through hard efforts. It's the workhorse of Ritchey's seatpost line — the one you spec when you want reliable adjustability without spending carbon money.
The post is forged from 6061 aluminum with an oblong internal shaft diameter, which puts material where the post sees the most stress and shaves it where the tube doesn't need it. That construction approach keeps the weight at 260 grams for the 27.2x350mm size, which is respectable for an alloy post at this price point. Setback is 25mm, so this is the traditional-geometry option — good match for older road frames or riders who prefer sitting behind the bottom bracket rather than stacked over it.
Torque the saddle rail bolts to 13Nm maximum and follow your frame or seat binder spec for the collar. The low-profile clamp is designed not to bottom out on lightweight saddle rails, which matters if you're running a carbon-railed saddle where over-clamping can crack the rails at the clamp edge. Minimum insertion is 100mm of the total post length, so a 350mm post gives you 250mm of usable height above the collar.
