Comp Buzzard MTB Handlebar
Color: BB
Size: 820mm-70mm
Description
Bikepacking cockpits have moved toward wider, more swept-back geometry, and the Ritchey Comp Buzzard sits at the far end of that trend. The Comp Buzzard is a flat MTB-style handlebar with a 70mm flat rise, 27.5-degree backsweep, and a generous 820mm width , built for riders who want to sit up and settle into the bike rather than hunch over the front end. The combination reshapes the cockpit in ways a standard 9-degree backsweep bar can't match.
The 27.5-degree backsweep is the headline number. It rotates your wrists into a more neutral position, which pays off on long days when hand fatigue and nerve pressure start to build. The 70mm flat rise inspires a more upright riding position — especially on bikes with a lower stack height — and the modest reach lets you settle back into the bike rather than hunching over in an aggressive angle . If you've been running spacer stacks and short stems trying to get comfortable on a bikepacking rig, this bar solves the same problem from the other direction.
Width is the other big change. The wide center section accommodates various bags and accessories , and the Buzzard has a roomy ~200 mm area to mount your bikepacking bags before the tubes go through all their bends . That's real estate for a handlebar roll, a feed bag, a light mount, a GPS, and a bell without stacking accessories on top of each other or fighting for space next to the stem.... Read More
