Description

Zero-setback seatposts put the saddle directly over the seat tube axis, which suits riders who need a more forward position or run frames sized for that fit. The Comp Carbon Zero from Ritchey was designed to offer riders all the benefits of a zero offset carbon fiber seatpost but at a more affordable entry-level alloy price. It's the post to grab when you want carbon compliance under the saddle without spending WCS money to get there.

The carbon fiber shaft is bonded to a forged aluminum head with a two-bolt design, and the bolts are oriented to the axis of the rails for the greatest contact area with the saddle. That fore-and-aft bolt layout is the detail worth pausing on — instead of clamping down on the rails with a single pinch bolt, you're loosening one bolt and tightening the other to walk the tilt where you want it. Fine adjustments become straightforward, and once you set it, the saddle stays put.

Thanks to the inherent compliance of carbon fiber construction, ride vibrations are softened without losing the valuable efficiency of lateral and torsional stiffness. If you're coming off an alloy post and running a frame with a longer exposed post length, you'll notice the difference on chattery pavement and rough gravel. The UD matte finish keeps the look understated, which pairs well with just about any build.... Read More
