Modern trail bars have moved to 35mm clamps for good reason — the extra material at the interface handles the leverage of wider bars better than the old 31.8mm standard. Ritchey built the Comp Trail 35 Stem around that larger diameter, giving you a forged alloy cockpit anchor that pairs cleanly with any current 35mm bar, including their own Comp Trail Rizer 35.

The body is 3D Net Forged from 6061-T6 aluminum, a process that forces the grain structure to follow the shape of the part rather than cutting across it. That translates to a stiffer, stronger stem without extra bulk — useful when you're loading the front end into a rough section or muscling the bike through a rock garden. It's the same forging approach Ritchey uses across their alloy stem range, just applied to a beefier trail-oriented shape.

Length options run from 35mm to 65mm in 10mm steps, which covers the range most modern trail and enduro bikes are asking for. A shorter stem quickens the steering and shifts your weight rearward for steep descents; longer options load the front tire for climbing traction. The head is vertically offset from the body center, so flipping the stem gives you a 5mm rise or a 5mm drop from the same part — a small detail that saves you a second stem purchase if your fit changes.
