Comp Trail Flat Handlebar
Color: BB Black
Size: 9D-780mm
Description
Wide bars have taken over trail cockpits for good reason — leverage through steep terrain, room to breathe on techy climbs, and a stance that keeps your shoulders open when the bike gets rowdy underneath you. The Ritchey Comp Trail Flat Handlebar delivers that modern width in a straightforward alloy package, running 780mm end-to-end with 9° of backsweep to keep your wrists in a natural position rather than forcing them into an unnatural straight-ahead grip.
Construction uses double-butted 6061 alloy, with the wall thickness varying along the length of the bar to put material where stress concentrates and remove it where loads drop off. That's how you get a bar that holds up to trail abuse without the weight penalty of straight-gauge tubing. The 31.8mm clamp diameter works with essentially every modern trail stem, and the bar is bar-end compatible if you want to run inner ends for extra hand positions on longer rides.
The 2X design is what sets this bar apart from a straight flat. Rotate it 180° during installation and you get either 5mm of rise or 5mm of drop while keeping the same 9° sweep. That gives you a quick way to fine-tune bar height without swapping stems or shuffling spacers — handy when you're dialing in fit on a new build or trying to shave a few millimeters off your stack. Ritchey positions this as particularly useful on 29ers and other bikes where the front end already sits tall.... Read More
