Wrist alignment is one of those cockpit details that goes unnoticed until your hands start going numb halfway through a ride. Ritchey's Comp Trail 10D Rizer addresses it head-on with a 10° backsweep that pulls your grip position back to where your wrists naturally want to sit, paired with 4° of upsweep to take pressure off the outside of the hand. It's a geometry-first approach to a bar that also happens to check the boxes modern trail riders expect: 800mm width, 20mm rise, and a 31.8mm clamp.

The 10D designation is a nod to the original Ritchey XC 10D flat bar, and that lineage shows up in how the bar loads under hand. The extra degree of backsweep over the standard Trail Rizer isn't dramatic on paper, but it makes a noticeable difference over hour-long rides where cumulative hand fatigue is the enemy. Construction is double-butted 6061 aluminum, which is the material and process Ritchey has been refining across their alloy cockpit line for decades. The butting profile puts material where the bar sees the highest stress — around the clamp area and out to the controls — while thinning the sections in between to keep weight down.
