Description
Carbon fiber handlebars shed weight from the highest point on the bike, where rotating mass isn't a factor but overall bike weight and bar feel absolutely are. The Ritchey SuperLogic Mountain Handlebar applies unidirectional carbon construction to create a flat bar that weighs just 95 grams in the 720mm width—roughly half what a comparable aluminum bar would weigh. This weight reduction comes from Ritchey's layup process, which orients carbon fibers to handle the specific loading patterns mountain handlebars experience: vertical impacts, lateral torque during hard cornering, and the constant micro-vibrations that accumulate into arm fatigue over long rides.
The bar uses a standard 31.8mm clamp diameter, fitting any modern mountain stem without adapters or shims. Width options span 680mm through 720mm in 20mm increments, giving cross-country and trail riders room to dial in their preferred stance. The 5-degree backsweep and 5-degree upsweep match Ritchey's WCS carbon mountain bar geometry, meaning riders moving up from the WCS tier keep the same hand position they've already dialed in. Bar ends are reinforced to handle the stress concentration that occurs when cutting bars to narrower widths.
Ritchey developed this bar for weight-conscious cross-country racing and endurance events where every gram matters but durability can't be compromised. The SuperLogic tier represents the brand's lightest components, positioned above the WCS line for riders who prioritize weight savings and are willing to pay the premium for top-tier carbon construction....
