Description

Trail widths and a bombproof aluminum construction — that's what the Ritchey Comp Trail Rizer Handlebar delivers for riders who want a wider cockpit without stepping up to carbon prices. The bar comes in 780mm and 800mm widths, both with 20mm of rise, giving you the leverage modern trail geometry rewards. Double-butted 6061 aluminum handles the abuse of technical riding while keeping the cost sensible.

Ritchey's cockpit geometry has stayed consistent across decades of mountain bike development, and the Comp Trail Rizer follows the same formula. The 9-degree backsweep pulls your wrists into a more natural angle behind the stem, which cuts down on the hand fatigue and numbness that come from bars with a straighter profile. The 2-degree upsweep is subtle — enough to complement the backsweep without forcing your grip into an awkward rotation.

The 20mm rise sits in the sweet spot for most trail bikes. Enough lift to open up your riding position on steep descents, but not so much that it wrecks your climbing posture or forces you to slam the stem. If you're replacing a flat bar or an older 15mm rise unit, this is a straightforward geometry update. The 31.8mm clamp diameter works with the vast majority of mountain stems on the market, so compatibility isn't something you need to sort out ahead of time.
