Saddle position dictates how your weight sits over the bottom bracket, and an offset post gives you adjustment beyond what your frame's seat tube angle provides. Ritchey's WCS Zero Seatpost takes the opposite approach by placing the saddle clamp directly above the post centerline, putting you forward over the cranks. That suits riders with shorter femurs, aggressive race positions, or frames with slack seat tube angles that already push the saddle rearward more than the fit calls for.

The post is 3D forged from 2014 aluminum and offered only in a 400mm length, which gives you substantial insertion depth for tall riders or frames with short seat tubes. Both 27.2mm and 31.6mm diameters are available in the Blatte matte black finish, covering most road, gravel, and mountain frames. Ritchey originally developed this clamp for the KITE Dropper Post and brought the design over to the fixed Zero — the goal was a clamp that holds position through hard hits, which is why this post tends to show up on hardtails and cyclocross builds as often as road bikes.

The two-bolt fore/aft clamp separates angle adjustment from positioning. Loosen the rear bolt to tilt the nose up, the front bolt to tilt it down, and both together to slide the saddle along its rails.
