Ritchey's Classic Zeta GX Disc Wheelset takes the Zeta GX gravel platform and dresses it in the high-polish silver finish that's been a Ritchey signature for decades. The hardware underneath is the same handbuilt, tubeless-ready package Ritchey has been refining since the original Zeta — a 6066 aluminum rim with a 25mm internal width, laced 28-spoke front and rear, riding on forged disc hubs with sealed cartridge bearings and a 4-pawl freehub engagement system. The cosmetic difference is the point: if you're building a steel gravel bike or a Break-Away frame and the blacked-out look feels wrong, this is the wheelset that matches the aesthetic.

The rim is the gravel-oriented version of the Zeta, wider and stiffer than the original road Zeta to handle bigger rubber. The 25mm internal width opens the casing on tires from roughly 32mm up through 50mm, which covers most of what gets ridden on modern gravel bikes — fast-rolling 38s for hardpack, plush 45s for chunk, plus-sized rubber for bikepacking loads. Ritchey's OCR (Off Center Rim) drilling shifts the spoke holes off the centerline, which balances spoke tension between the drive and non-drive sides and produces a wheel that holds true longer under hard use. Tubeless tape is applied at the factory, so setup is a matter of valve, sealant, and tire.

Hub spacing comes in two configurations to match the frame on hand: standard 12x100mm front with 12x142mm rear for most gravel and endurance road bikes, or 15x110mm front with 12x148mm rear for boost-spaced frames. Both share the same rim and spoke build.
