Semi-slick is a broad label in gravel. It can describe a tire that rolls quickly and does little else, or one that still holds a line when the surface breaks up. The current version runs Schwalbe's Race PRO casing, which replaced the older Super Race construction, along with a revised ADDIX Race compound the brand credits with a 10% drop in rolling resistance and added shoulder grip. V-Guard sits under the tread, and the 67 EPI casing keeps the ride supple rather than wooden, so the tire floats over small chatter instead of reporting every pebble. Be clear-eyed about where it belongs. This is a dry-and-firm tire. Mud, wet roots, and loose-over-hard surfaces ask more of those shoulder knobs than this tread depth can deliver, and reviewers have flagged tread durability as the trade-off for the speed.
