Description
Sidi designs their shoes with serviceability in mind, and heel pads rank among the most frequently replaced components. Walking on pavement, cafe floors, and gravel parking lots wears down these pads faster than any amount of pedaling, and once the rubber grinds through, the sole material underneath starts taking damage. Replacement pads restore traction and protect your investment in footwear that may have thousands of miles of riding life remaining.
Two variants cover different sole types in the Sidi lineup. The Black Anti-Slip version fits shoes equipped with Twelve Carbon Composite and Millenium 5 soles, matching the factory-installed pads on current road models. The Gray/Red Universal version works across the broader Sidi range, accommodating older and newer shoes alike. If you're fitting the universal pads to an older pair, you may need to file or clip small alignment tabs to match the mounting pattern, but the process takes only a few minutes.
Installation follows the same straightforward procedure for both variants. Locate the rivet on your shoe's sole and align it with the corresponding notch in the heel pad, then secure with the included screws using a Phillips head screwdriver. Checking screw tightness after your first few rides ensures everything has seated properly and won't work loose under repeated use. If your original screws have damaged or stripped heads from years of use, the fresh hardware included with the replacement pads solves that problem.... Read More
