The compact profile eliminates the front section that most riders don't use anyway, while the wider rear platform provides more sit bone support where you actually make contact with the saddle. The Body Geometry channel runs down the center to relieve pressure on soft tissue and maintain blood flow to sensitive areas during longer rides.

The shell uses carbon-reinforced composite construction for stiffness without excess weight. That rigidity translates to efficient power transfer when you're hammering in the drops or pushing through a climb. Where the Comp differs from higher-tier Power saddles is the rail material. You're getting hollow chromoly rails here instead of titanium or carbon. Specialized specs this with Level 2 padding, which sits in the middle of their five-level system.
