Romin EVO Comp Gel Saddle
Description
Aggressive road positions put a lot of demand on the saddle you're sitting on, and Specialized addresses that with the Romin EVO Comp Gel by adding gel inserts to a shape already built for aero riding. Unlike the short and stubby perches found on many modern rides, the Romin EVO is a long-nosed saddle for easy transitions between sprinting, climbing, and laid-back recovery sessions. If you've tried the short-nose trend and found yourself wanting more room to shift fore and aft, the Romin's traditional length gives you that space while still keeping the profile low.
The patented Body Geometry design is lab-tested to assure blood flow to sensitive arteries, the stiff carbon-reinforced shell delivers longevity and all-day riding efficiency, and lightweight PU foam works with gel inserts for increased comfort on long rides. The gel version differs from the standard Romin EVO Comp in those inserts, which add a bit of cushion under the sit bones without turning the saddle into a plush touring perch. It's still a performance-oriented shape — just with a little more give for riders logging hours in a low position.
If you're torn between this and the Expert, they mainly differ at the rails: the Comp features durable Cr-Mo rails, while the Expert has lighter titanium. The Cr-Mo rails on the Comp add some weight compared to the higher-tier versions, but they're durable and hold up well to repeated setback adjustments and normal wear.... Read More
