The previous Crux earned a reputation as the lightest gravel bike on the market, and the Crux 5 keeps that weight discipline intact—789 grams for the FACT 12r frame in size 56—while adding aerodynamic shaping, expanded tire clearance to 55mm, and a geometry package built around what Specialized calls Time to Finish. The aero work was developed in Specialized's Win Tunnel using the sixth-generation Moving Leg Mannequin, which captures how a rider's body in motion alters airflow across the bike at race-relevant speeds.
