Description

The Specialized Phenom Pro Mirror uses a three-dimensional printed lattice structure instead of traditional foam padding. This Mirror technology creates a honeycomb pattern with 20,055 individual struts and 8,735 nodes, each calibrated to support your sit bones while reducing pressure on surrounding soft tissue. Specialized measured a twenty-eight percent reduction in sit bone pressure compared to foam saddles when they tested the Mirror structure using high-resolution pressure mapping with actual riders in controlled conditions. The lattice compresses where you need give and stays firm where you need support, which creates a hammock effect that distributes your weight across a larger surface area rather than concentrating pressure on a few small contact points.

The Phenom shape features the longest and flattest profile in Specialized's saddle lineup, measuring 270 millimeters from nose to tail. This design gives you room to shift your position forward during climbs or backward during descents without running out of usable saddle surface. The flat profile works well if you rotate your pelvis forward into an aggressive position or sit more upright during technical sections where you need stability and control. World Tour riders and downhill racers including six-time World Champion Loïc Bruni use this shape because it supports dynamic movement without restricting your position on the bike. The long nose provides additional real estate for positioning during steep climbs when you slide forward, and the wide tail section offers stable support when you sit back during rough descents or recovery intervals.

The saddle base uses a reclaimed carbon fiber and nylon-injected shell that flexes enough to work with the Mirror lattice without feeling soft or unstable under hard pedaling efforts. A concave shape in the base allows for a thicker Mirror print in the center section where your sit bones make contact, which is where the pressure reduction benefit concentrates. Hollow titanium rails reduce weight while providing the strength needed for aggressive riding across gravel, cross-country, trail, and e-bike applications where durability matters. The rails use a seven-by-seven millimeter diameter, which fits standard seatpost clamps without requiring adapters or special hardware.... Read More
