Description

The S-Works Romin EVO with Mirror uses a 3D-printed polymer matrix with 22,200 struts and 10,700 nodes to create targeted pressure distribution across the saddle surface. This represents Specialized's thickest Mirror pad to date, made possible by the concave carbon shell design that creates space for additional material depth. The liquid polymer construction responds differently than foam, supporting your sit bones across a wider area rather than compressing uniformly under load. Each node in the matrix is tuned individually to provide support where you need it while maintaining flex in areas that should move with your pedal stroke. Specialized's pressure mapping studies show this reduces sit-bone pressure by 26 percent compared to traditional foam saddles.

The concave FACT carbon shell represents a departure from Specialized's typical flat shell construction. This curvature allows the Mirror pad to be thicker while maintaining overall saddle profile, which gives you more material to distribute pressure without adding bulk to the bike. The shell flexes enough to absorb vibrations without feeling soft or unstable when you're putting power through the pedals. Oversized 7x9mm carbon rails shed weight compared to traditional round rails but require a seatpost with an oval clamp design. Side-load clamps designed for standard 7mm round rails won't work with these oversized carbon rails, so verify your seatpost compatibility before ordering.

The Romin EVO shape follows a traditional long-nose design that works for aggressive racing positions. You can slide forward on the nose during hard efforts or back on the wider platform for sustained climbing. The longer platform compared to short-nose designs like the Power gives you more real estate to shift positions during long rides or varied terrain. Body Geometry features include a central cutout positioned to relieve pressure on soft tissue and maintain blood flow to sensitive arteries, which Specialized validates through lab testing. The cutout positioning and width are specific to the Romin EVO platform, different from what you'd find on a Power or other Specialized saddles.... Read More
