Specialized S-Works Shiv TT Red AXS Disc Bicycle

Excel's exclusive build starts where most time trial projects stall: the Specialized S-Works Shiv TT Disc Module, a UCI-legal FACT 11r carbon frameset built around truncated tube shapes and a stepped seatstay junction, with a gap between the rear wheel and the slim lower seat tube instead of the wheel-hugging cutout that defined earlier TT frames. Routing is internal and electronic-only, disc brakes are flat mount front and rear, and the bottom bracket shell is BSA threaded. The module weighs 2.69kg in size Medium, and the front derailleur mount is a bolt-on piece, which is what makes a clean 1x build possible here rather than an afterthought.

Fit is handled by the Shiv TT integrated bar/stem aerobar, with 400mm base bar width and a 75mm stem across all sizes. Pad stack runs 535-680mm on XS and 545-690mm on the larger frames, while pad reach spans 436-464mm through 478-506mm depending on size, so the front end covers a wide fit window without spacer stacks hanging in the wind. The fork is size-specific, with steerer length and geometry varying by frame size to keep the cockpit flush, and headset hardware kits follow the same size-specific logic. A removable nose cone conceals cable and hydration routing at the head tube.

The drivetrain is 1x SRAM Red AXS E1, built on 165mm crankarms with a 56T direct-mount aero chainring carrying an integrated Quarq powermeter — dual-sided measurement accurate to +/-1.5% across temperature swings, with X-SYNC tooth profiling for retention. Out back, the Red AXS E1 rear derailleur handles the XG-1290 12-speed cassette in 10-30T, giving close ratios at the top of the block where a TT effort actually lives.
