S-Works Turbo 2Bliss Ready T2/T5 Tire
Size: 700x26 Black
Description
The dual-compound approach is what separates this tire from the previous S-Works Turbo: a slick central strip of harder T2 rubber is designed to reduce rolling resistance and allow you to accelerate quickly and hold top speeds, while on either side Specialized has used the grippier T5, which gives the tire better stability in tight corners and on rougher surfaces . It's the non-RapidAir version, which means you get the full three-ply casing rather than the two-ply race-day construction, and that's the tradeoff worth understanding before you buy.
Where the RapidAir strips things down for pure race performance, the Turbo 2Bliss Ready T2/T5 is built to survive real-world roads all season. The non-RapidAir offers 50% better tread puncture resistance while rolling 20% slower, and based on the casing design and measured tread thickness, it also lasts roughly 50% longer thanks to more rubber on the tire . For most riders who aren't swapping fresh rubber on for race day, that's the right side of the tradeoff.
Puncture protection comes from Blackbelt reinforcement under the tread, built with hybrid-Kevlar construction, which Specialized rates at 8% more puncture protection than the previous tire . Combined with the Gripton T2 center, that means six watts faster rolling resistance versus the previous 2BR at just 260 grams for the 26mm tire . If you're running tubeless and want a tire that handles cobbles, chip seal, and daily lunch rides without shredding, this is where the S-Works line lands for you.... Read More
