Description

T47 threading solves the creaking and installation headaches that plague press-fit bottom brackets while maintaining the wide shell that modern frames need for tire clearance and chainline optimization. SRAM's DUB T47 Wide Bottom Bracket pairs this threaded interface with their DUB spindle system, giving you a bottom bracket that threads into place with predictable torque specs and comes back out cleanly when service time arrives.

The T47 standard uses a larger diameter than traditional BSA threading, which allows for bigger bearings and the wider shell dimensions that frame designers want for stiffness and clearance. This wide version fits 85.5mm shells, which you'll find on frames specifically designed around the T47 wide standard. The DUB spindle compatibility means this works with SRAM's full range of DUB cranksets, from Rival to Red, letting you swap cranks without changing bottom brackets.

Installation follows standard threaded bottom bracket procedure: grease the threads, thread in both cups to the specified torque, and you're done. No press required, no creaking from frame flex, and removal doesn't risk damaging the frame the way press-fit extraction sometimes can.
