SRAM's Eagle PowerLock is the connector link that comes packaged with every 12-speed Eagle chain, and this 2-pack is the spare you keep in the seat bag and the workbench drawer for the day the chain breaks or the day you install a new one. SRAM PowerLock links provide tool-free chain assembly and are compatible with all SRAM Eagle chains. If you're running XX1, X01, X1, GX, NX, or SX Eagle — anything in the standard 12-speed Eagle family — this is the connector link that belongs on that chain.

The important distinction is that this is the Eagle PowerLock, not the Eagle Transmission (T-Type) PowerLock. Each chain has a unique link shape and pin size, and Eagle Drivetrain chains and PowerLocks have longer pins that will have side-to-side movement if used on a T-Type chain. Eagle PowerLocks are stamped "Eagle" on the side, Eagle Transmission PowerLocks are stamped "T-TYPE," and PowerLocks for road Flattop chains are stamped "SRAM PLCK-D1" — three different links for three different chain families, and they are not interchangeable. If your drivetrain is a hangerless UDH-mounted T-Type setup, you need the T-Type PowerLock instead.

Installation is tool-free. Line up the two halves of the link across the ends of your chain, seat the pins, then pull the cranks against the rear brake to snap the link into its locked position. The link is one-time use only — once it's engaged and then broken apart to remove the chain, you replace it with a fresh one rather than reusing it.
