Description
Wireless shifters work until you need buttons somewhere your hoods can't reach. Aero bars, time trial extensions, sprint shifters on the drops—these situations call for remote inputs that talk to your existing AXS system. SRAM's eTap AXS Wireless Blip Shifters give you that flexibility without running wires back to a central unit or pairing with a separate battery pack.
Each Blip connects directly to the AXS network using the same wireless protocol as your derailleurs. The buttons themselves are small enough to mount on aero extensions, drop bar hooks, or anywhere else you want shift access. You're getting two shifters in the pair, which typically means one for upshifts and one for downshifts, though the AXS app lets you configure the button functions however you want. The Blips run on their own CR1632 coin cell batteries—the same cells used in the existing Blip Box system—so you're not adding another charging routine to your pre-ride checklist.
Installation is straightforward if you've worked with AXS components before. Each Blip pairs to your system through the AXS app, and the app walks you through assigning which derailleur each button controls. SRAM includes the Blip bases and mounting hardware, so you can attach them to handlebars, extensions, or clip-on aero bars. The wireless range matches other AXS components, meaning the signal reaches from bar-end positions to rear derailleurs without dropout issues.... Read More
