Description
Electronic front derailleurs eliminate the cable tension headaches that make mechanical front shifting inconsistent over time. The Force AXS E1 front derailleur handles the big ring transitions wirelessly, using SRAM's AXS protocol to communicate with your shifters without any physical cable routing through the frame.
The E1 designation indicates this derailleur works with SRAM's current 12-speed AXS road ecosystem. That means compatibility with Force, Rival, and Red AXS shifters out of the box, plus integration with SRAM's AXS app for firmware updates and shift customization. The derailleur mounts using a standard braze-on interface, and SRAM includes shims for 31.8mm and 34.9mm clamp installations if your frame doesn't have a braze-on tab.
Chain management comes from SRAM's Orbit fluid damper system, which controls chain movement during shifts to reduce dropped chains and chain slap. The cage design accommodates the wider spacing of 12-speed chainring combinations, and the motor delivers enough force to push the chain up to the big ring under moderate pedaling loads without hesitation....
