Force AXS E1 2x Chainring Kit
Description
SRAM's Force AXS E1 2x Chainring Kit uses the Thread Mount interface introduced with the E1-generation Force groupset, and it's a different animal than the older bolted chainrings that came on previous Force AXS cranks. The rings thread directly onto the crank spider rather than bolting through, which shaves weight, improves stiffness, and gives power meters a cleaner, more consistent signal by removing the flex points that traditional bolt-circle mounts can introduce. If you're running a current Force AXS crankset with the Thread Mount power meter spider and your rings are worn or you want to change gearing, this is the replacement kit.
The kit is available in 46/33, 48/35, and 50/37 chainring combinations, all compatible with SRAM road Flattop chains, and installation requires the SRAM Thread Mount Chainring Removal Tool , which is sold separately. That tool requirement is worth flagging up front — you can't swap these rings with standard shop tools, so factor it in if you're planning the job at home. The upside is that once you have the tool, changing ratios takes minutes rather than pulling the crank.
Compatibility is narrower than it looks. These rings only fit the Thread Mount spider found on E1-generation Force AXS and Red AXS cranks — they will not retrofit onto older 8-bolt direct mount Force or Red cranks, and they won't work on any pre-AXS Force or Red crankset. Check your spider before ordering. If your crank has visible bolts holding the rings on, this isn't the right kit.... Read More
