Wireless shifting removes the most frustrating variables from a road cockpit. The SRAM Force AXS E1 2x HRD Groupset delivers a complete wireless upgrade path with everything you need to convert a mechanical bike or replace an aging electronic system—minus the crankset and cassette, which lets you keep your existing power meter or choose your own gearing combination.

The E1 designation marks the current generation of Force, and the changes address the most common feedback from earlier AXS riders. SRAM narrowed the hood profile and repositioned the shift paddles for easier reach from the drops, which matters if you found previous Force or eTap levers too bulky for comfortable hand positioning. The brake system now enables true one-finger braking from both hood and drop positions, and the Bonus Button on the inside of each lever gives you additional shift points without reaching for the main paddle. Contact Point Adjustment lets you dial in exactly where the brake engages, while Reach Adjust accommodates different hand sizes.

Shifting follows standard eTap logic: right paddle shifts to harder gears, left paddle shifts to easier gears, and pressing both simultaneously moves the front derailleur.
