Description

SRAM builds the Force E1 power meter two different ways, and the one you choose changes both the data you get and what you pay for it. This crankset, the Force AXS E1 DUB 12-Speed Crankset with PWR Spindle, hides the measurement unit inside the DUB spindle rather than placing it in the Thread Mount spider. That DUB-PWR arrangement reads left-side power and doubles it to calculate total watts, keeping the hardware out of sight and adding less than 40 grams over a standard crankset. If you want reliable numbers for training zones and race pacing rather than left-right balance data, this is the version that makes sense.

The E1 arms are the current redesign: hollow carbon, 8-bolt interface, and lengths running 160mm through 175mm, which matters if a fitter has been steering you toward a shorter crankarm than the 172.5mm you have been riding by default. SRAM took 60 grams out of the arms compared to the previous generation. The arm and spindle assembly alone sits in the 409 to 435 gram range depending on length, with the power spindle adding its sub-40 gram penalty on top of that before chainrings. The 8-bolt interface is shared across the current AXS road range, so the arms accept power and non-power spiders and integrated chainrings if you reconfigure later.

Chainline is the spec to verify before ordering. This is the standard road version at 45mm, built for road frames; all-road and gravel platforms that need the 47.5mm offset take the Wide variant instead, same arms with a different spindle. SRAM specs road cranksets for frames with chainstay lengths of 414mm and below. You will also need a DUB bottom bracket matched to your frame shell, which is a separate purchase, and a 12-speed Flattop chain to run with SRAM AXS road drivetrains.... Read More
