Description
Crankarms without chainrings give you flexibility that complete cranksets don't. The Force AXS E1 DUB Crank Arm Assembly ships as just the arms and spider, letting you select chainrings separately based on your gearing preferences and riding style. If you're building up a new bike or replacing damaged crank arms while keeping your existing rings, this approach makes sense financially and practically.
The E1 designation indicates SRAM's single-chainring spider design, which accepts their direct-mount 1x chainrings in sizes from 38T to 50T. Force AXS sits in the middle of SRAM's electronic road hierarchy, sharing the same carbon arm construction and hollow design as the flagship Red but with slightly different finishing. The power transfer characteristics remain identical since both use the same DUB spindle interface and 30mm aluminum axle.
DUB bottom bracket compatibility spans threaded and press-fit frame standards. You'll need a DUB-specific bottom bracket matched to your frame's shell width and type, whether that's BSA threaded, T47, PF30, BB30, or press-fit 86. The spindle length is fixed, so the bottom bracket handles the adaptation to different shell widths. SRAM designed DUB to eliminate the mix-and-match confusion that plagued earlier standards....
