SRAM's Red AXS E1 DUB Crank Arm Assembly is the starting point for anyone building a Red-level crankset from the arms up — no spider, no chainrings, no bottom bracket, just the flagship carbon arms and the DUB spindle. The E1 update reworked the carbon layup on SRAM's hollow arms to drop further grams, and SRAM added their first carbon 160mm crankarm length option to keep pace with shorter-crank fit trends. If you already have a power meter spider you like, a set of chainrings from a previous build, or you're pairing this with a Quarq spider for a custom setup, this is the way to get there without paying for parts you don't need.

The E1 arms are 29 grams lighter than the previous generation, and the 8-bolt direct mount interface accepts both power and non-power AXS spiders as well as integrated chainrings — chainrings and spider are sold separately. The interface is not compatible with SRAM's 3-bolt direct mount system, so if you're coming from an older SRAM crank with 3-bolt rings, those don't carry over. The 8-bolt pattern is what SRAM standardized across Red, Force, and Rival AXS, which means the chainring and spider ecosystem is broad.

The DUB spindle keeps the system consistent across frame standards — SRAM makes DUB bottom brackets for BSA threaded, PressFit 30, BB86, BB386, and T47 shells, so whatever your frame runs, there's a matching bottom bracket. Just note that a bottom bracket is not included with the arms; you'll need to source the correct DUB BB for your frame separately. Arm lengths run from 160mm through 177.5mm, which is the widest range SRAM has offered in a carbon Red-level crank and covers riders looking to go shorter for fit reasons as well as those who prefer traditional lengths.
