Description
Front derailleur setup on AXS systems requires precise positioning that's difficult to eyeball. SRAM's Front Derailleur Setup Tool eliminates the guesswork with two color-coded gauges that establish correct height above the chainring and proper gap from the outer chainring teeth. Get it wrong and you're dealing with chain rub, hesitant shifts, or the dreaded auto-trim that never quite works right.
The red gauge sets derailleur height by referencing the top of the outer chainring teeth. You slide it between the cage and the chainring, adjust the derailleur position until the gauge sits flat, and tighten the clamp. The green gauge handles the horizontal gap between the outer cage plate and the chainring face. Both measurements need to be correct for the electronic system to shift cleanly across the full cassette range without trimming constantly.
These gauges work specifically with SRAM's AXS road front derailleurs, including Red, Force, and Rival AXS versions. The dimensions are calibrated for the cage geometry and shift logic of these electronic systems, so don't assume they'll transfer to mechanical setups or other brands. If you're installing or repositioning an AXS front derailleur, these gauges turn a fiddly adjustment into a straightforward procedure.... Read More
