SRAM's Braze-on Front Derailleur Adapter is the factory solution — a clamp that wraps the seat tube and provides the braze-on interface your derailleur was designed to bolt to. It's the same adapter SRAM includes with complete groupsets when the frame calls for it, and it works across the road lineup from Apex up through Red.

The adapter is available in two clamp diameters to match common seat tube sizes, and the correct one depends on what your frame measures at the mounting location. The clamp includes a tab for SRAM's ChainSpotter chain catcher, though the ChainSpotter itself is sold separately — it ships with new Red braze-on front derailleurs, and can be added later if you want the extra insurance against dropping a chain into the bottom bracket shell.
