If you already own a Red or Force AXS crankset and want power data without buying a whole new drivetrain, this is the drop-in path — you swap the non-power spider for this one, keep your crank arms and DUB spindle, and end up with a spider-based Quarq powermeter running on the AXS ecosystem.

Power measurement happens at the spider, which means it measures power from both legs rather than doubling a single-leg reading. That matters if you care about left/right balance data during training, or if you've ever been skeptical of single-sided meters that estimate total output.
