Description
Crankset pricing gets confusing when you realize half the options ship without chainrings. The Rival AXS E1 DUB Crank Arm Assembly is exactly what the name suggests: the crank arms, spider, and spindle, ready for whatever chainring configuration you want to bolt on. SRAM sells this as a separate SKU because riders running 1x setups, power meter spiders, or non-standard ring combinations don't need to pay for chainrings they'll immediately remove.
The E1 designation refers to SRAM's single-bolt direct mount chainring interface. Any SRAM road 1x ring with the 8-bolt pattern works, as do 2x setups using the standard bolt circle diameter. If you're building around a Quarq power meter spider, this is the starting point—the spider accepts DZero and other compatible units without modification. The forged aluminum construction handles the forces of 12-speed drivetrains without the weight penalty of stamped alternatives.
DUB bottom bracket compatibility means you'll need the appropriate DUB cups for your frame's shell standard. BSA threaded, PF30, BB30, T47—SRAM makes a DUB bottom bracket for each. The 28.99mm spindle diameter sits between traditional 24mm and 30mm standards, which SRAM claims optimizes stiffness without requiring oversized frame shells. If you're replacing an older GXP crank, you'll need new bottom bracket cups along with this assembly.... Read More
