The Pad Shape 01 covers a wider range of SRAM calipers than most riders realize, which is why this single pad works across both road and mountain applications. It fits Level, Level TL, Level T, Level Ultimate (B1, 2020+), Level TLM (B1, 2020+), DB, Elixir, and 2-Piece Road calipers — meaning if you're running current-generation Red AXS, Force AXS, Rival AXS, or Apex AXS on the road, or Level hydraulic brakes on a trail bike, these are the replacement pads you need. The mounting arm sits centered on the pad, which is the visual tell for the 2-piece caliper design that replaced the older monoblock road calipers.

SRAM offers this shape in two compounds and both are covered here. The organic/aluminum-backed version (00.5315.035.020) is the lighter, quieter option — this is the OEM pad shipped with most current SRAM road and Level builds. The sintered/steel-backed version (00.5315.035.010) is the heavy-duty choice, better suited to wet conditions, sustained descents, and heavier riders who want more resistance to fade. Sintered pads are ideal for heavy or extreme duty applications, where resistance to higher temperatures is required, like a steep sustained descent. Sintered pads excel in all conditions, especially in wet and muddy environments.

These pads are not compatible with the older monoblock hydraulic road calipers used on Red 22, Force 22, Rival 22, S-700, or the first-generation Red eTap and Level TLM/Ultimate calipers from 2017-2019 — those calipers use a smaller asymmetric pad shape with the mounting arm off to one side.
