Description

Cutting and re-routing a SRAM or Avid hydraulic brake line without the right fittings is where a lot of home bleed jobs go sideways — you end up with a leaky connection, a stripped barb, or a hose that won't seat properly at the caliper. SRAM's Stealthamajig Hydraulic Disc Brake Hose Fitting Kit is the factory replenishment pack for that job, giving you five threaded hose barbs, five compression fittings, and a T8 Torx wrench in one bag. If you shorten a hose during install or need to re-terminate one that got nicked, these are the parts SRAM specs for the connection.

The Stealth-a-majig coupling is what SRAM designed to make initial setup of hydraulic systems fast and convenient, and its smaller footprint allows for easier internal cable routing so frames with tight ports stay clean. The threaded barb presses into the hose end and the compression nut tightens down against it, forming the seal that holds pressure at the lever or caliper. Because the barbs and fittings are single-use once compressed, keeping a small stash on hand means you're not stuck mid-bleed waiting on a $10 part.

Fittings are backwards compatible with older SRAM and Avid hydraulic brakes, so the same kit covers current Level and Guide systems along with the earlier generations still in service. That covers a wide swath of the SRAM hydraulic road and mountain lineup — useful if you work on a mixed stable or run different bikes with different brake generations.
