Equipment > Components > Pedals > Power Meter Pedals

Description

Power meter pedals typically ask you to compromise somewhere: extra stack height, wider Q-factor, awkward pods hanging off the spindle, or disposable batteries you'll inevitably forget to replace. SRM engineered the X-Power Road around a different premise, housing all the electronics and a rechargeable battery inside the pedal spindle itself. The result is a power meter that looks and rides like a standard road pedal, with a 9.75mm stack height and 53mm Q-factor that match conventional SPD-SL pedals rather than forcing you to adapt your position to accommodate the technology.

The anodized aluminum pedal body uses Shimano's SPD-SL cleat interface, which means you're working with a proven engagement system rather than a proprietary design. The included cleats provide 6 degrees of rotational float, and you can swap to any SPD-SL compatible cleat depending on your preference. Shimano's yellow cleats offer 6 degrees for riders who want freedom of movement, blue cleats provide 2 degrees for a balance of security and float, and red cleats lock in at zero degrees for fixed positioning. The spring tension adjusts to dial in release force, so the pedal functions exactly like the non-power-meter road pedals you're already familiar with.

Accuracy sits at ±2%, which SRM achieves through a calibration process that learns the specific installation angle on your crank. The X-Power app walks you through this setup in about 30 seconds, and you'll want to repeat the process if you move the pedals between bikes or retorque them. The dual-sided version measures left and right leg power independently, giving you power balance data alongside total output. A single-sided option costs less and doubles right-leg power to estimate total watts if you don't need the leg-by-leg breakdown.... Read More
