The Stan's NoTubes Dart Tool refill pack solves that problem with six replacement darts for the Dart Tool system, designed to plug cuts and punctures up to about a quarter-inch without removing the wheel or breaking the bead. The darts themselves use a barbed, forked construction made from a co-molded thermoplastic and polyester fabric. When you push a dart into a puncture with the Dart Tool, the barbs grab the tire casing from the inside while the fabric reacts with the sealant in your tire to form a permanent bond. The repair sets in seconds, holds full pressure, and doesn't need to be removed later. You trim any excess flush with the tread and keep riding. Most riders never replace a Dart-repaired tire because of the patch — they wear the tire out first.
