Description
Graphene-infused rubber compounds have trickled down from Vittoria's race tires into the Rubino Pro G2.0, bringing puncture resistance and wet-weather grip to a tire built for thousands of training miles. The 3C construction layers three different compound formulations across the tread profile, with a fast-rolling center section transitioning to grippier shoulder compounds that hold their line through corners. That compound structure explains why riders report confident handling on wet descents without sacrificing efficiency on dry flats.
The tubeless-ready construction gives you two setup options. Run it with sealant for self-healing puncture protection and the ability to drop pressures for a smoother ride, or mount it with tubes if you prefer a traditional setup. The aramid bead seats securely on tubeless-compatible rims, though the tight tolerances mean mounting requires patience and proper technique. Once seated, the casing holds air reliably and accepts sealant without excessive weeping through the sidewalls.
At 150 TPI, the nylon casing prioritizes durability over the supple ride feel you'd get from a higher thread count race tire. That's a deliberate trade-off. The Rubino Pro targets riders logging base miles, commuting through variable conditions, and training through winter when road surfaces deteriorate. The integrated puncture protection belt adds another layer between the tread and your tube or sealant, catching debris before it reaches the casing.... Read More
