Navigation goes beyond basic turn arrows. The built-in speaker announces street names at intersections, letting you keep your eyes forward instead of checking the screen. Summit features detect and analyze climbs in real time, even without a preloaded route, showing gradient, distance remaining, and total elevation gain. If you miss a turn, Back on Track generates new directions automatically. Route to Start calculates the shortest path home when you're ready to cut a ride short.

The Wahoo App handles initial setup and ongoing customization, connecting to Strava, RideWithGPS, TrainingPeaks, Komoot, and other platforms for automatic route sync and ride uploads. Routes transfer over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Share a location from Google Maps or Apple Maps, and the ACE builds turn-by-turn directions to that point. Structured workouts from over a hundred training platforms display targets and intervals on screen, and if you're riding indoors on a KICKR trainer, the ACE controls resistance to match your workout targets automatically.

Bluetooth LE 5.0 and ANT+ connectivity pair with heart rate straps, power meters, speed and cadence sensors, and radar units. The ACE also controls music playback, GoPro cameras, and compatible lights directly from the unit. A digital bike bell sounds through the speaker when you tap the screen. Battery life extends to 30 hours, enough for multi-day events or a full week of training without charging. USB-C handles power delivery through a sealed port that maintains IPX7 water resistance.
