Description
168 grams per pair puts the Wahoo Speedplay Nano among the lightest clipless road pedals available. That weight savings comes from pairing a titanium spindle with a carbon composite body—materials that shed grams without compromising the structural integrity needed for power transfer. If you're building a race bike where every component gets scrutinized on a gram scale, the Nano delivers measurable weight reduction at the pedal interface.
The tradeoff for that featherweight construction is a 180 lb rider weight limit. Wahoo sets this threshold to protect the titanium spindle from loads it wasn't designed to handle. If you're over that limit, the Comp or Zero models use chromoly and stainless steel spindles that accommodate any rider weight. But for lighter riders chasing grams, the Nano's weight penalty is essentially zero.
Beyond the weight savings, the Nano shares Speedplay's signature features with the rest of the lineup. The symmetrical lollipop design provides dual-sided entry—either pedal face accepts the cleat, eliminating the fumble-and-flip routine at intersections. Stack height measures 11.5mm with three-hole mounting or 8.5mm with Speedplay's four-hole pattern, putting you closer to the spindle than most competing systems. Cornering clearance reaches 39 degrees before pedal strike, useful for aggressive riders who lean hard through technical descents and tight criterium corners.... Read More
