Description
The Wahoo Speedplay Zero is a dual-sided road pedal built around a stainless steel spindle and Grivory composite body. The symmetrical design means you clip in from either side without flipping the pedal—useful for quick starts and traffic situations where fumbling costs momentum. Triple sealed cartridge and needle bearings handle the load, and there's no rider weight restriction.
What sets the Speedplay platform apart is the cleat-based retention mechanism. The spring system lives in the cleat rather than the pedal body, which drops the stack height to 11.5mm with three-hole shoes or 8.5mm with four-hole Speedplay-specific drilling. That lower profile puts your foot closer to the spindle and increases cornering clearance to 39 degrees before you risk a pedal strike.
Float is adjustable from zero to 15 degrees, and release angle can be tuned from zero to 7.5 degrees. The cleat itself offers three-axis adjustability: up to 13mm fore-aft, 8mm left-right, and full rotational positioning. If you've dealt with knee issues or spent time dialing in cleat position, this range gives you room to work. The included cleat surrounds add a rubberized walking surface so you're not skating across tile floors in a coffee shop.... Read More
