Wahoo ships KICKR trainers with Shimano-compatible freehub bodies, which works fine until you need to mount a SRAM cassette. The XDR/XD Adapter Body swaps that Shimano freehub for one that accepts SRAM's XDR and XD cassettes, letting you run your road bike's drivetrain on the trainer without keeping a spare cassette around.

The freehub body works with SRAM's 11-speed, 12-speed AXS, and 13-speed XPLR road cassettes right out of the box. If you're running a SRAM Eagle mountain setup, the included 1.8mm spacer lets you mount XD cassettes on this same freehub. That dual compatibility covers the full range of SRAM drivetrains with a single adapter purchase.

Installation follows the standard freehub swap procedure. Remove the existing Shimano freehub using a 17mm cone wrench, slide on the new XDR body, and secure it with the included locknut.
