Wolf Tooth Drop-Stop chainrings address this with a patented wide/narrow tooth profile that locks the chain in place through alternating tooth widths. The wide teeth maximize contact on the drive side to spread load and extend chainring life, while the narrow teeth provide clearance for mud and debris. The Drop-Stop B tooth profile is optimized for SRAM Flattop chains used in 12-speed and 13-speed SRAM drivetrains, including AXS and Transmission systems. It also works with SRAM Eagle chains, standard 9-speed, 10-speed, and 11-speed chains, and Campagnolo 12-speed chains. The profile doesn't work with Shimano 12-speed Hyperglide+ or Campagnolo 13-speed chains due to different chain geometries. The chainring is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum billet in Wolf Tooth's Minnesota facility. This alloy provides the stiffness needed to handle pedaling loads while keeping weight to 58 grams.
