We tend to prefer Zipp rimstrips to the traditional cloth these days because the Zipp rim strips are thinner and allow tires to install more easily and seat better especially with narrow rims and tight tire beads. Some tires tend to fit quite tightly and are very difficult to install with traditional thick rim tape.
