Service Course SL-80 Handlebar
Color: Matte Black
Size: 40cm
Description
The 80mm reach and 128mm drop define how the Zipp Service Course SL-80 sits under your hands, and that shallow-to-moderate combination is why it shows up on so many road builds. The 80mm reach keeps the hoods within comfortable grasp for most riders, while the 128mm drop gives you a usable position in the lower part of the bar without forcing an aggressive stretch. If you've ridden a deeper drop and found yourself never using it, this is the geometry that fixes that problem.
Zipp builds the SL-80 from 7050-T73 aluminum, a heat-treated alloy chosen for its fatigue resistance under the repeated stress a handlebar sees over years of riding. The tube shaping isn't cosmetic. A slight ergonomic bend in the drops and a subtle flattening along the tops give you more contact area where your hands actually rest, which matters on longer days when hand fatigue starts to creep in. The matte black finish is understated and pairs cleanly with most cockpits.
The traditional round bend keeps this bar compatible with a wide range of shifters and lever positions, so setup is straightforward whether you're running mechanical or electronic groups. The tops measure 31.8mm at the stem clamp, the current standard for road stems, and taper to a 24mm bar-end diameter for grips and bar tape. This is a bar that gets out of the way and lets you dial in your fit rather than dictating it.... Read More
