Road Complete Bicycles

Limited quantities of these world-class AC-R framesets adorned with an 11 speed Shimano Ultegra 6800 drivetrain, Shimano wheelset and quality Deda bar and stem, Selle Italia saddle and Vittoria rubber. It's add water and mix with no upgrades necessary with this one.

We are pleased to offer rare special pricing and availability on this Colnago AC-R complete bike. The overall value is astonishing, and the mixed Ultegra 6800 11 speed AC-R is an even stronger value than it's 105 equipped sibling. In upgrading to Ultegra STI levers, with both front and rear derailleurs, the price option difference will truly come down to where your final budget sits. You can't go wrong with the AC-R 105, but if you can get the lighter weight, performance and advanced materials used in Ultegra, especially in the high-use shifters and rear derailleur, you have to look more closely at the budget! It is rare to find such a quality build and frameset from Colnago available as a complete bike at these prices.

The frameset features a tapered head tube and fork steerer for extra front end stiffness and stability, which help the AC-R tackle tricky descents and tight corners with confidence. The tapered 1⅛" - 1¼" full carbon fork complements the frame with light weight, stiffness and confidence inducing control of the front half of the bike. In the main triangle, tube shapes are defined by strength and torsional requirements, with vertical compliance factored in. A standard BSC (English) threaded bottom bracket is simple and reliable, minimizing troublesome bearing issues and keeping the cost of the frame manageable. The wishbone-style rear seat stay delivers a smooth ride, but when paired with the shaped chainstays transfers pedaling power to the rear wheel. Colnago has gone to great efforts to build the AC-R to be race worthy, yet in an eminently rideable design, meeting the UCI standards for racing frames by undergoing all the extensive safety testing required by the UCI pro level racing, just like the twelve thousand dollar bikes used by the top riders.

Colnago has more experience than any other brand from six decades of tweaking bicycle fit and geometries in conjunction with countless pro teams and riders. The riding position of the AC-R is the appropriate mixture of performance and comfort. Both the exercise enthusiast and those dabbling in racing will appreciate the solid sense of nimble control that only a Colnago can offer. The balance, handling, and positive road feel all lead to excitement whether you are tackling your local crit, gran fondo, or Sunday morning ride with friends.

Sizing your AC-R: Colnago describes the frame size as the actual seat tube length from the center of the bottom bracket to about the middle of the seat collar extension.

One easy way of determining your size is to measure your existing frame's effective toptube (measure the horizontal distance from center of headtube to center of seatube) and compare with the AC-R toptube. The other way is to simply size down one size from your regular size to get your Colnago AC-R size. For example, if you're a 54cm in your current frame then downsize to a 52s.
