Description
Power measurement at the pedals captures data right where force enters the drivetrain, before energy losses through the bottom bracket and chainring. The Rally RK110 from Garmin tracks total power and cadence through the left pedal spindle with ±1% accuracy, using a single-sensing design that doubles left-leg measurements. This approach provides reliable training data without requiring the dual-sided setup, and if left-right balance metrics become important later, the spindles transfer to Rally RK210 dual-sensing pedal bodies without replacing the entire system.
Garmin redesigned the RK110 with a carbon fiber pedal body that reduces weight while maintaining the platform stability needed for power transfer during hard efforts. The pedals accept LOOK KEO cleats using the three-bolt mounting pattern. Stack height measures 12.2mm and Q-factor sits at 53mm, or 55mm with the included spacer, matching standard road pedal dimensions. The large platform distributes pressure across the foot rather than concentrating it on small contact points. The carbon construction also improves cornering clearance compared to bulkier aluminum designs.
The rechargeable battery eliminates the need to carry spare coin cells on multi-day rides or training camps. A full charge delivers up to 90 hours of ride time, covering several weeks of training for most riders or multiple consecutive days of endurance events. Quick charging provides 12 hours of riding from just 15 minutes plugged in, meaning you can top off the battery during a coffee stop.
