ENVE 2.0 Road Disc Fork
Enve's 2.0 series road forks offer incredible ride quality and optimal performance at light overall weight. It is hard describe the combination the level of compliance and vibration damping yet still with a positive road feel that gives the rider a connection to the road that is crucial to confident and intuitive handling, but Enve has applied the alchemy required to deliver this impossible combination. Now Enve offers the 2.0 Road Fork in a Disc model, starting with a 1.5 tapered, 9mm quick release version that is ideal as a replacement for a stock version, a custom build or serious upgrade.
To track and pilot effectively, strength and stiffness are now paramount, but forks must be competitively lightweight and soak up vibration as well. No compromises allowed. The carbon fiber masters at Enve use a carbon lay-up process that runs unidirectional carbon fiber from the top of the fork to the bottom, and instead of drilling holes or stripping away materials, the engineers use a proprietary molding construction process, similar to the one used for spoke holes in Enve's bombproof rims. This keeps all fibers intact from the top of the steerer through the carbon dropouts and reinforced disc post mount. The fork is a hollow one-piece design that delivers incredible lateral stiffness and torsional strength, more than handles the torque and power of disc braking, yet rides so smoothly you will have unerring confidence in the handling and predictability of your front end. Remarkably, this is achieved in a 1.5 inch tapered, disc road fork at a weight under 440 grams.
The level of performance and quality is not to be questioned. We hope to see a 12mm thru-axle version coming as well, but for now it is just for standard QR use. You simply can't beat the qualities that distinguish this exceptionally engineered lightweight disc fork. The fork looks amazing, and with a 43mm rake, 367mm axle to crown measurement and the clearance to run up to a 700x25 tire, this is a true road fork. You might get a 28mm tire from some manufacturers in safely, but pay close attention to the spacing. The routing of the brake housing is elegantly achieved, clean an efficient and should work well with virtually all calipers. Buying the Enve 2.0 Road Disc Fork is an investment in the best riding carbon disc fork available. Whether you are upgrading, replacing, or building, this fork delivers a premium ride that seems to define Enve's amazing carbon composite offerings.
