XX GXP Crankset
XX is SRAMs premier 2x10 XC racing componentry. All efforts are focused on performance and saving weight wherever possible. The driveside crank is a one piece arm and spider that features a foam core wrapped in carbon fiber and an alloy exterior. This design helps keep the weight down to the amazing mid-600 gram range. The chainrings are mounted to the inside of the spider keeping the q-factor down to a scant 156mm. This in turns tightens up the chainline and greatly improves shifting. Oversize allot Torx bolts fasten the rings on the spider. The rings are SRAM's proven X-Glide and have any bit of non-essential material shaved off via a CNC mill. Plenty of pins and ramps make the front shifting quick and accurate.
Simply pu, this is a no frills, lightweight XC race crank that is also durable enough to be used as an all mountain crank if you prefer 2x10 on your rig. We carry the XX crank in 26/39t gearing as it is now becoming industry standard for any type of riding. The SRAM XX crank is specifically designed for the XX 2x10 drive train to promote fast, simple shifts, eliminate chain suck and create efficient, solid power transfer. It employs some of the most advanced material science in its construction. The oversized chainrings are CNC machined 7075 Aluminum blanks are 2mm thicker than typical. Unparalleled stiffness is delivered by an increased 120/80 bolt circle diameter (BCD) and a two-piece insert-molded carbon composite construction. The XX Crank geometry provides a narrow 156mm Q factor, efficient chainline, and beveled crank arms to maximize clearance.
The chainrings feature X-glide shifting to give XX its unmatched shifting performance. With X-Glide, all four upshift locations are identical and can be picked up by any outer link. Up and down shift locations have perfect timing, for an almost instant shift--even under load.
