Pinarello has also done a good job of maintaining handling geometry across sizes — unlike the Dogma F and Dogma X, the X9 is spec'd with two different fork rakes to ensure trail figures stay consistent across the nine sizes, with trail figures ranging from 60mm in the large sizes to 65mm in the smallest sizes.

The component build matches the frame's ambitions. Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 Di2 is the 12-speed flagship electronic groupset — the system shifts under load without hesitation, hydraulic disc brakes deliver stopping power in rain and heat equally, and the system's long-term reliability is proven at the highest level of road racing. A 160mm front rotor pairs with a 140mm rear rotor through Dura-Ace BR-R9200 two-piston calipers, and gearing covers a wide range that handles flat gran fondos and sustained climbs equally well.

The MOST Ultrafast 45 Disc carbon wheels are a meaningful upgrade over alloy alternatives. The 45mm rim depth offers aerodynamic benefit without becoming a crosswind liability, the internal width supports the 32mm Pirelli tires at appropriate pressure, and tubeless compatibility means you can run lower pressures for better road feel without the flat risk. Hand-built with direct-pull aero bladed spokes and ABS self-locking nipples, the Ultrafast 45 keeps the rim profile clean and serviceable. The 32mm Pirelli P7 Sport is a durable all-around road tire — wide enough to take advantage of the frame's clearance and rim width without the weight penalty of a full gravel-leaning casing. At 32mm, it rolls efficiently while smoothing over rough pavement and chipseal in a way that narrower tires can't. It's a sensible rubber choice for a bike designed to be ridden hard over long distances.

The cockpit is finished with the MOST Talon Ultra one-piece carbon handlebar/stem, which first debuted with the Dogma F12, paired with Pinarello's own aero seatpost and an FSC frontal seat clamp.
